Weekly Call with a Lighter, Stronger, Healthier Hattiejane Darracott

Hattijane Darracott
Click Here to Listen to this weeks call: Hattijane Darracott was at a frustration point with the way western medicine was going 20 years ago when she was introduced to Nikken. With only a pair of Magsteps, she knew that she could start helping people faster than what she was doing through her vocation as a registered nurse. 'That pair of insoles changed my life so quickly that I took my mortgage money and bought as many as I could'.

Now in her 70's, Hattijane refuses to let her age define her. She's 100#'s lighter than she used to be and continues to improve in so many ways. 'There's nothing in life that I can't imagine doing now and I'd love for more people to discover what I have!

Dave and Ben's Tip Of the Week:

"Greetings,

Your attitude clearly determines what happens to you in life. Your attitude, upon starting a difficult task, determines whether or not you will enjoy it and finish it successfully…We get back measure for measure an exact reflection of what we put out… Therefore, if you find people are reacting unfavorably or if you get the idea the world is picking on you - it might be time to look at the attitude you have been presenting to others and the world. Check your attitude! – Earl Nightingale

The question is though, how do we develop gratitude for hard things? Victor Frankl said that suffering ceases to be suffering when we find its meaning. This can take time and so, I would advise that patience is a virtue that we should practice. Why? Because becoming a success in life and in business demands grief and a little suffering some time. Wouldn’t you agree?

On a Leadership Call, Ben Woodward spoke about ‘Four Essential Attitudes’ that can ensure a happy and productive life. These attitudes help determine what happens to us in life.

An attitude of gratitude,
A longing for learning,
A devotion to discipline
A willingness to work.

So, our invitation this week is to practice the Four Attitudes and to be patient with both the process and the progress of your business and yourself.

Arnold Bennett wrote that the kind of desire (attitude) that triggers drive and energy within us isn’t some vague hankering, some undefined wish. The productive kind of desire is real, it’s concrete, it’s a mental picture that will never leave us alone. It’s always there in front of our minds, prodding and poking, goading us on. It’s an obsession, a whip. It has no mercy and we’ll never be satisfied until we’ve achieved that which we truly desire.

In conclusion, we have learned that we can be persistently patient when we have confidence in the future and our journey. Both of us have great conviction that we are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right things with the right people! What a privilege it is to be in Nikken!

Much love,

Ben and Dave"

Steppin' Up and Out in September

Click Here to Listen to Steppin' Up and Out in September. "Fall is always my favorite time of year. For us, our entire family transitions back to school and there is a freshness in the air. It's as if we get to step up to new challenges, step out to new arenas, and step into new opportunities. What we do this month impacts the next few months and allows us to finish the year with gusto and then blast into the new year. For me, my resolutions and biggest changes take place now.

Nikken has given us an incredible incentive this month. The second I read it, I got really excited, fired off a text, and then landed our first Senior. I want to share some of what made this possible as well as a few timely ideas that I feel will allow us to use this amazing gift we've been given."

Malala
It's not very often that I've had the privilege to hear a Nobel Peace Prize recipient speak in person, let alone the youngest person to receive this prestigious award. Her best selling book documents her life journey after being shot at point blank range by the Taliban for continuing to attend school after they had banned all females from being educated. She miraculously survived and has undergone several surgeries to literally put her head back together.

Here is one of the thoughts she shared:

'Everything we do makes a contribution to society. We can call on people to support the things that matter. Our communities need us to start making a difference. Don't wait for someone else. If you feel strongly about something that needs to be changed, it's your job to be that change!'

I strongly feel this way about Nikken. How many people do we know who have issues with sleep, water, air, and nutrition? Or simply don't enjoy the quality of life that is possible with a wellness home? We can be that change. NO! We ARE THAT CHANGE!!!"

Secrets to Sharing Our Story by Vance Rogers

Click Here to Listen to this weeks Saturday AM Live Call. Vance had emailed us: "Tony Collins has done a little bit of everything to pay the bills and put food on the table. From farming, construction, welding, and currently driving truck, he's performed a variety of blue collar duties during his adult life. But he admits, building his Nikken Customer base with his heart is far more rewarding than building anything with his hands. It's pretty much the norm for Tony to hit the 10,000 mark each month in personal volume.  'Would you want me to share how I do this? I'll be happy to' was his comment to me!"

Unfortunately, Tony was called into work so Vance did another pull the "Rabbit out of the Hat" call. He is getting real good at that lately.

Help Us Share This Amazing Gift
 Vance's Tip of the Week:

"Faster, Higher, Stronger

'A man is not defined as the champion by the moment he crosses the finish line, but by the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and even years of preparation it took him to get to that point.' - Eliud Kipchoge, Olympic Marathon Gold Medalist, Kenya

Watching a marathon runner doesn't top my list as one of the most exciting things to do. However, a few hundred yards shy of the finish line, I was so grateful to be watching the Olympics on that last day. What Eliud Kipchoge did before he won the gold medal after running for over two solid hours captured my attention and will be etched in my mind forever.

Without breaking stride or concentration, he literally moved over and motioned for his competitor to move up and run alongside of him. It was as if he was saying, 'If you’re gonna run with me, then run right here, not behind me, but right here at my side. Let's run this together.'

There is an incredible spirit of team work that we can model when we share our Nikken story with others. We can invite others to join us by saying, here is what has happened to me, join me and we can experience a new sense of wellness together. We're not successful Wellness Consultants when we close the big deal or advance in rank, No, we're only successful when we invest the time into those relationships and invite them to experience total wellness with us."

During this Summer of Sizzle Al and Sandra are on Fire!

Listen Closely. Do you feel they are having FUN?
Click Here to Listen to Al and Sandra Thornton. Vance shared in his email this week:

During this Summer of Sizzle (we are approaching triple digits as I type this), there are a few individuals who have been heating things up. The Customer program has been a focal point of Al and Sandra Thornton's since they started as they're not afraid to talk to anyone in any place. 'As we learned from our mentor Dave Stoltzfus, the experience is better than the education. We strive to give people an experience with our products and the education will follow.'

They've got some fantastic stories to share that I'm convinced will help us get out there and expand our business.

Vance's Tip of the Week:

"August 19th, 2016

Citius, Altius, Fortius

While most of us don't speak Latin, these three words have been inspiring individuals and teams for more than a hundred years from around the globe. The Olympic motto was suggested in 1894 and yet not officially introduced until 1924. It took 30 years for these words to become part of the Olympic spirit that continues to drive athletes to give everything to be on that podium wearing a gold medal.

Faster, Higher, Stronger

If you've watched any of the Olympics, you've seen that these people are pushing themselves to their limits. Swimmers like Michael Phelps can barely climb out of the pool after a race. Sprinters are seen diving across the finish line just to shave a a fraction of a second from their time without even a care how they'll end up on the track. It's obvious that this international community is giving their all to be the absolute best and set new records as they do it.

I've been extremely convicted as I view the Olympics. Not to start an exercise program or get in better shape (although this would be really good), but to give more of myself to whatever it is I'm involved with at the time. I know I can become a better person and therefore make a bigger impact on the world around me.

We may not ever strive to be an Olympian, but I truly believe we can live our lives faster, higher and stronger. After all, we're living in the best wellness home available so we might as well put these amazing solutions to the test, physically, mentally, and financially."

Click Here to Listen to this weeks call. Vance emailed: "Mary Jane Steppe is at the top of her game in life. After 16 years in the time-share sales industry, she decided to make a leap into something new. With the Summer Sizzle program, she's not only cashing in as a top producer, but her monthly volumes are setting new standards for consistent volume. Oh, and wait till you hear her doctors comment... 'whatever you're doing, you just eliminated your diabetes!' "

Vance's Tip of the Week:

"August 12, 2016

Alien Encounter

An alien is defined as someone or something from another place. I definitely experienced this first hand yesterday so I'll do my best to give you the cliff note version.

While finishing a phone conversation with a dear friend and business partner, I noticed a couple hiking up to our community food recovery building. I was there to make my weekly connection and pick up from the surplus of donated items. While shopping I overheard one of the hikers say 'Pacific Crest Trail'.

I didn't waste anytime in introducing myself and then obtained all the intel about them. Next thing I knew, I was pulling an Ethiopian move by inviting them back to the house for a shower, lunch and Nikken demo. (I don't EVER do this with complete strangers!) We had a great time sharing our combined knowledge of wellness remedies and they thoroughly enjoyed the immediate benefits received from CM Cream, DUK, Power Bands, and water.

I drove them to where they needed to be (20 miles east) to actually get on the trail and things really got emotional as we were parting ways. They had a major family pillar breakdown three years ago that almost cost them their marriage. Rather than lose each other, they found the oneness of marriage again through hiking. And they've been doing it ever since.

I'm not cut out to live life on the trail and yet I learned a ton from a couple that is doing their best to live a different life. No home, no car, no bills, no phone, etc. It's an alien life for sure, but it works for them. And what made it so fun for me was that I was able to improve their lives by investing a little time and a few products. Definitely an alien encounter that I'll never forget!"

Sharpening the Axe

Click Here to Listen to this weeks call. Janice wasn't with us so Vance gave us some relevant council. This week in his email he wrote:

Janice Miller is one of those individuals that thought retirement meant refirement. She became a teacher a quarter century later than most (at 52) because she wanted to help others so it wasn’t a question of sharing Nikken after her own experience with the products. Having met 'Mr Arthur' at 40 she was restricted from dancing the way she wanted to. Today in her 70's she can cut a rug like people half her age." We look forward to having her on the call August 20th instead.

Sharpening the Axe

There’s a story of a young logger who just got hired and was eager to impress a the men in the woods. He had the newest tools and a brand new axe. His first day he swung and swung until he dropped 18 of the old growth trees. The next day, wanting to surpass that number, he started an hour earlier and yet was only able to fall 12 trees. Extremely frustrated he started two hours earlier the next day and stayed in the woods an extra hour as well. Still, he was only able to see 6 trees hit the ground that day. The following day it was even worse when he started two hours earlier than normal and worked till dark falling only four trees.

That night while swapping stories with some of the boys at the local watering hole, he shared his frustration of diminishing numbers. He just couldn’t understand why when he spent more time in the forest why he was losing ground. Boy was he ever shocked when the group began chuckling as he vented. Not seeing the humor in this situation, he slammed his drink down in protest. Finally, one of ol’ timers grinned as he said, ‘You worked harder, but not smarter. Not once did you say anything about taking the time to stop and sharpen your axe. Although you were spending more time chopping, you were doing it with a dull blade!’

The iCan program that is launching it’s next 90 day cycle is a way that we can stop to sharpen our axes as Nikken Consultants. The graduation call yesterday was filled with amazing testimonies of activity, both in Customer numbers and personal growth. Check out the website and see if this is something you’re willing to commit to for the next three months. I’m eager to see what’s going to happen in my own life and in our group.

www.icanattitude.com is where you need to go. Registration cut-off is next Tuesday at midnight. The weekly instructional call is every Wednesday at 4:30pm (PDT) and lasts exactly 30 minutes. There is homework everyday and a $90 cost. This is but a fraction of what this course is worth when I compare it with others available in the industry.

So if you’re looking for a way to sharpen your axe, then iCan is the perfect tool!
