Best Day of My Life and Delia Head (major agony) on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to this Weeks Call. Have your tissues ready as Vance interviews Delia Head.

Here is the text I received recently. ‘Let me introduce myself. My name is Delia Head and I’m a brand spanking new consultant. In October of 2012 I was diagnosed with a mysterious spinal cord injury which left me in a continual state of 10+ on the pain scale, 24/7. In addition, I have been diagnosed with Osteopenia. And to top it off, I experience a bout of depression and a host of other health challenges. My dream is to come out of the darkness of this nightmare and into the light of Nikken wellness.’

" 'By far, one of the best days of my life!'

It’s not often we get to hear a comment like this and especially from a new customer. For his sake and the agony he’s been dealing with the last few months, I so wish he was talking about the pain in his feet from a rare condition, but unfortunately it wasn’t. After I sold him a pair of mStrides and introduced him to Nikken, I invited John to help me out with a healthy society project and he immediately said yes. He hasn’t been actively responding as a volunteer firefighter lately because by noon everyday his feet hurt so bad that he can barely walk. Little did both of us know how dramatic this experience was going to be.

So last Friday John and I braved the traffic in Brush 62 (the most versatile off-road rig we have) and got all set for the soon to be wildfire of kids that would soon overtake us. In three waves of the recess bell, 600 kids swarmed us with wide-eyes and questions that wouldn’t quit. We didn’t realize that most of these kids had never been near a fire truck, had the opportunity to spray water, or even be close to someone as they kept asking… ‘So you’re a REAL firefighter?’

Without giving all the details, last Fall a school across town started a coin drive to raise money for the Corbett Fire Department because we were directly involved in fighting the Eagle Creek fire which as of last week has a price tag of almost $40 million. It was the 5th grade leadership group who decided on which group to give the money and they raised over $2000 for our volunteer [fire] department.

After they presented us with yet another huge plastic jug with more coins and bills, I pulled a fast one and presented them with a framed picture of a fireman shaking the hand of Mickey Mouse. I’ve had this in my office for years and since I ‘play Nikken’ in the family room now and don’t have an office, I have been praying for the right person or group of people to give this to. It seemed perfectly fitting to pass it onto a group of kids who didn’t know how much their coin drive would impact a group of folks across town. I hadn’t rehearsed what I would say, but I knew some kind words from the heart needed to be said to the small group of leaders who stayed behind long after the last bell rang.

‘You did your job so we could do ours. While you went to school and collected coins, some of us were fighting a fire that eventually burned 48,000 acres of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. We’re all on the same team and without you, we couldn’t have done what we did. We have been able to purchase some extra equipment with this gift. So, thank you for investing your time into us. I hope this gift from our family somehow conveys our gratitude to you and this school.’

As I watched the last student line up, I couldn’t help but notice both the principal and counselor were still wiping their eyes. One of the dads of two of the kids was there snapping photo’s and he too had sweaty eyes. Was it what I said? No, I think it was a culmination of a bunch of people, over the last nine months, all working together to impact their society. I’m not paid to be a volunteer firefighter. I simply am doing my part, just like these students.

When one of the pillars of our company is Healthy Society, we can continue to make impacts in our community every day by simply doing right things. Most of the time they will go unnoticed, but when you get to experience what I did, trust me when I say, that several hundred people noticed. I don’t think my friend John had ever experienced anything like this before which is why he said what he did as we drove out of the parking lot, ‘I think that was by far, one of the best days of my life and thank you for allowing me to help’.

Unto The Least of These and Dave Johnson on Saturday AM Live

Click here to Listen to Dave and Vance.

Dave and Valerie Johnson could write a book on the diversity of children. After all, they’ve had a front row seat on raising more than most of us. I’ve asked Dave to share some of the success stories of utilizing Nikken’s solutions for raising healthy kids. While we don’t have children’s vitamins, we do have the best products in the world for improving the environment where they spend the bulk of their time growing up.

"Unto The Least of These

Sitting at the airport IHOP just after midnight brought a wave of emotions. Stacey and I were facing our three daughters on the other side of the booth as they laughed, giggled, and even cried at times. We had just picked up Kenna after her first year at American University in Washington DC. These three sisters were now united again, for at least a few weeks before the globe trotter leaves for Tanzania and Uganda. And then upon her return home, Emily will head to Peru.

Besides almost wetting myself with laughter as Addi described in great detail to her two older sisters her first encounter, a few days prior, with a bald eagle, I couldn’t help wonder what we’re doing right to raise three incredible and yet crazy girls. It took us all forever to decide what to eat because we really couldn’t find anything healthy on the menu and that’s when it hit me. Roger Drummer said it best, ‘In order to have healthy children, we must have healthy parents’. We’ve done our best to model healthy living and instruct our girls so naturally they’ve followed suite. Of course no one is perfect and just like their parents, they’ve made poor choices at times and so will we, but it’s a short video like this that keeps us making better choices:

If you have not watched the updated version of this, I encourage you to do so. I remember seeing ‘A Wake Up Call’ years ago when we were first introduced to Healthy Child, Healthy World and a few days later being at a Nikken event with Emily who said after viewing it, ‘That’s really good Daddy’.

If we’re gonna take care of the least of these who God entrusted to our care, we must first take care of ourselves. Thank heavens we have products from Nikken that allow us to do that!"

"Nikken in the News

Zig Ziglar taught me to read both the Bible and the top news stories. This way I’ll know what both sides are up to.

Suzanne and Laurie
Before KVB

All kidding aside, this tip has proved to very one of the most valuable lessons from the great teacher that Zig was and will always be to me. In all the different news stories that jumped out at me this week besides a US Embassy opening in Jerusalem, a volcano erupting in Hawaii, and then more about FBI digressions, what really caught my attention was two numbers in the news.

29 and 14

Currently in the country of England, 29% of children are overweight and 14% are obese. I was just as shocked as you are. While I didn’t take the time to investigate what our stats in North America are, I found one article fascinating because it shared how the British government with socialized health care is taking an aggressive stance because they know that being overweight is the #1 cause of heart disease. They either do something about it now or they’ll be paying for it astronomically for decades to come. They’re even in the process of banning all television advertising prior to 9:00pm that includes any processed, sugary, or fast food companies.

Laurie after KVB and Ann
Is this too radical? I don’t think so. Given that we in the U.S. are knocking on the door of 70% of us being overweight, we might wanna consider the fact that we have a serious problem. I have yet to find a traditional diet company like Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, or the endless infomercial ads that focus on what Nikken has done with our KVB. There are a few Network Marketing companies that are attempting, but the ingredients are terrible. Plant based proteins are the absolute best way to start the day and I’m still searching for one that tastes as great as ours, cost less, and provides such awesome results. Don’t worry, I only have to search as far as our kitchen to find what I’m looking for.

While Nikken may not be in the top news stories, the top news stories are in Nikken’s products. We have a solution folks and it’s our job to share it."

A Families Quest for Hope and Some Answers on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to This Weeks Call

According to the Center for Diseases Control’s latest statistics, 1 in 59 children will be impacted with autism. Ebony Combs experienced this when her daughter, Dana, was two years old and it’s been an alarming journey for the last two years. That is until two months ago when she discovered Nikken. [During the call,] She answers several questions about their family’s experience and [shares] some of the simple solutions that Nikken provided to radically change the dynamics of life for them. And while it’s simply their experience and not a medical claim, Nikken brought hope when it seemed like a hopeless situation.

You Never Know When...

I have to admit, after using the Nikken solutions for two decades, I have been privileged to learned a thing or two.
1) Think out of the box. Have a burning desire to figure out unusual ways you can use the Nikken Solutions. You never know when you will encounter a reason to use them.

2) Always have more solutions with you than you personally need. You or someone you know and love may benefit.

5 Hours After Being
Slammed in Van Door
Case in point. After the call Saturday, that afternoon, Carol and I enjoyed an outing with two of our daughters families. We were with several of our grand children as they interacted with many baby farm and exotic animals at a petting zoo. Additionally, I was also able to hold my newest week old grandson for the first time. We had a fun time.

When we were leaving to come home some unplanned excitement struck. As I was climbing into the side door of my daughter's Mercedes Van, someone decided to close the front door. It slammed shut with the fingers of my right hand in the wrong place. Wow, my nap on the way home was suddenly not a possibility!

I was in total shock about what had just happened. Within seconds, a couple of my fingers were showing some really interesting colors. I didn't have my normal arsenal of products with me like when I'm out and about in Carol's car or my truck. Luckily, I usually have a MagFlex, that's slipped inside a Terry Cloth Wash Mitt and tucked into a back pocket or the waist band of my pants. I quickly pulled them out of my jeans and shoved my hand into the mitt with my fingers up against the MagFlex.

Buy Yours today!
I took the picture of my fingers approximately five hours later. They didn't look perfect, but they looked and felt truly amazing for what they had been through such a short time before.

Thank you Nikken for providing us with such amazing solutions. We can easily have them with us every time we need them, no matter where we go.

Moral of the store: Be Prepared. Have a few extras. You will be glad you did!

Have an Awesome Week Everyone,

Steve
