TEAM - Part Two and iCan Attitude Stories on Saturday AM Live

Click Here to Listen to This Weeks Call with members of the current iCan Attitude Session.

"In the spirit of TEAM, I’ve asked a few people from this last iCan Attitude session to share some of the high points of how their life has changed with this course. From school teacher to a Physical Trainer, Police Dept. booking desk clerk to professional pitch person, we’ve had the most diverse team represented. But the coolest part about this group is how we’ve all come together to achieve more with Nikken."

TEAM - Part Two

Together Everyone Achieves More is something you wouldn’t expect to see in an individual sport like snow boarding, but I got to witness something yesterday that I’d never seen before. It was the last opportunity to use 3 $25 lift tickets, the weather was beautiful, and our oldest was home from University. And with a 97 inch base, why not!

Due to the first day of Spring skiing at Timberline on Mt Hood, there were only a few runs open with one chair lift. What Kenna, Addi and I quickly discovered was that the terrain park area with all the jumps, rails, and man made creation was the best snow on the slopes. We were among groups of about 25-30 snow boarders coming down at the same time tackling these crazy obstacles performing flips, spins, twists, and body maneuvers that most would think impossible.

The team part comes into play when I observed that they literally moved as a unit because some of them had Go Pro cameras mounted to helmets or in their hands to capture this synchronized dance.

For almost three years I’ve had the privilege of being part of the iCan Attitude program. The variety of people taking part continues to amaze me because our growth and central focus has been that of a team. We all want to grow our Nikken businesses, but even more we want to grow in the 5 Pillars of Health. None of us have had to risk death(it actually says this on the terrain park entrance sign), but we have had to risk a lot of fears that we tend to find buried deep within us. Because we go into the program as a group with some simple guidelines, everyone of us finishes the 12 week course better than when we started.

The next program will commence on June 18th. Pop me a text at 503-348-0749 if you’d like to take part. The program is absolutely free with the only cost being your investment of about 20 minutes per day. And giving up some old nasty habits that probably kept you stuck.

Molly Simpson and Kaylene Ames
Click Here to Listen to this weeks call with two wonderful Ladies.

May 19, 2019

"For Molly Simpson and Team En Fuego, it’s perfectly normal to utilize the concepts of playing Nikken as a finely tuned NBA team of five on the court, or a group of 11 NFL players on the football field. Regardless of the number, Molly and Kaylene Ames will share what they’ve implemented to not only make sharing Nikken fun, but profitable. Kaylene was Molly’s first Consultant years ago and what started back then, still continues today as it gets better and better and better."

"Team

Together Everyone Achieves More and many hands make light work are two sayings that I find myself hearing over and over again. Three billionaires and over 12,000 millionaires have been created by Bill Gates and his company Microsoft. Was it all Bill? I don’t think so! It was a team of people that will probably never be known for their contribution other than the fact that they know they’re part of the group of computer geeks who have impacted the world with their contributions.

Very seldom does anyone ever achieve success in any venture by themselves. Sure, inventors and engineers create things in isolation, but if it weren’t for a friend, partner, etc., their contributions would never be known. This is why a team is vital to the success of anything.

Dave Johnson spear headed the daily Sizzle calls a few weeks ago and they are making a huge impact on peoples lives. While I don’t know the background on what went into these short and sweet (12-15 minutes) introduction calls, I do know that I’ve been ready to join this movement each time I tune in. The stories are sometimes beyond belief, and yet not over the top with false claims. They’re NOT recorded due to the fact that they’re not polished presentations, just normal folks sharing what Nikken has done for them.

Here’s a simple suggestion that I’ve used to expand our Customer & Consultant base AND be part of an incredible team. Listen to one or two of the calls, get an idea of what to expect, and then start plugging in your people. Either 3-way them in from your phone or invite them to join WITH a reminder text a few minutes prior to the call.

Water-A Family Affair Part 3 and Peggy Goodman (PT) on Saturday AM Live

Peggy Goodman
Click here to Listen to this Weeks Call with Peggy Goodman. She "was a highlight of this years Nikken event in Layton, Utah. As a physical therapist for over 40 years, she wowed us all with her knowledge of how the body works and importance of water. And not just any water, but PiMag water. She’ll explain why our bodies absorb three times more Nikken water than any other source and she has the clinical evidence/life experience to back it up too!"

"Water-A Family Affair Part 3

I remember years ago chatting with one of my hero’s at a Nikken event. I told Dr Guth that Stacey and I have said many times that when we grow up we wanna look and be just like her. She merely laughed and gave credit to the PiMag water that she’d been consuming for 15 years at that point. ‘People don’t understand the value of quality water and it’s impact on the entire body. Drinking and showering with the Nikken water is the best anti-aging secret on the planet.’ She was in her 70’s when we had this conversation and I swear to you that she didn’t look a day over 50!

This week has been one of those that Spring arrived in Oregon with record setting temps. It’s still cool at night, but yesterday we even had a fire weather warning due to warm winds. While ‘playing’ with my brother and two nephews on a roof yesterday I could feel the need to consume more water than normal, but failed to take enough with us. Had I used my brain, I could have merely asked the homeowner to re-fill our water jug since he is in fact one of us and has a Waterfall. When I sat down for dinner on the porch last night, Stacey asked me if I was out of words for the day to which we both laughed. ‘No, I said. I’m just more than parched and it’s my own fault’.

Last story…. On Tuesday of this week I had the opportunity to speak in Stacey’s Language Arts classroom on the subject of story telling. I pulled several current events into my life story and yet had most of the students memorized because I told it in second person point of view. I knew it was pretty effective when one of the 7th graders in the last class threw her hand up in the air while yelling ‘I knew it was you!’. Talking for almost four hours is brutal on the voice box, but I was smart enough to take my two water bottles from home plus the Nikken sports bottle just in case. I learned from Dr James Dobson that public speaking requires an extra amount of water to keep our vocal cords hydrated.

Whether it’s physical on the inside or out, our bodies need AND deserve the best water on the planet. Or as my water expert friend Charlie Franklin taught me years ago, ‘When it comes to water filtration, we either have an external unit or our bodies become that unit’. As the weather gets warmer, now more than ever we need to make sure we’re consuming enough PiMag water.

Water-A Family Affair Part 2 and Ron Clark (RN/Cop) on Saturday AM Live!

Vance Rogers, Julie and Ron Clark
Click Here to Listen to This Weeks Call with "Ron Clark[, He] became an instant Nikken celebrity a few months ago with a short YouTube video that highlighted his experience with the Kenko Ground. Because of his first ’treatment’, his life was changed for the better. It created such a stir that the video got pulled from the Internet and we were reminded why we need to be careful in sharing our stories. Ron had suffered with raging shoulder and hand issues for years. This impacted his sleep. He chose to sleep in a different bed than his wife because of this. He found it difficult to get dressed in the morning. And yet he’d been using the Nikken products for about 20 years. All of them! The missing link for him was earthing. It’s been five months since Ron first used this product and he doesn’t miss a day. His story just keeps getting better."

"Water-A Family Affair Part 2

‘Daddy, can I have a drink of your water?’ This seems to be a prevailing question anytime we get in a vehicle and drive more than ten minutes from home. While I appreciate the request and will never say ‘No, get you’re own water bottle’, I often ask myself why our three girls crave water more than anything else. Is it because they know it’s good for them or that we don’t usually order beverages when we go out to eat? I have to think that it’s more because a child’s behavior and choices are caught not taught.

Order Yours Today
Most people know that we are supposed to consume half our body weight in water every day just to maintain hydration. As we head into the warmer months this intake should increase due to activity. Nikken makes it easy with both the Waterfall and the Sports bottle to always have the best water on the planet at our fingertips for pennies per gallon.

A few weeks ago I read an article in a major newspaper about the current trends on college and university campuses regarding water bottles. I’d cite the source, but now I cannot find it. The title of the article was simply, ‘Why young people are willing to spend $50 on a water bottle’. What the article pointed out was that a water bottle to these students fresh out of high school and most of them away from home for the first time is a status symbol. Some institutions go all out investing into hydro flasks with their college name and mascot on the side where as others find a cheap ‘made in China’ plastic BPA filled container that is just as bad and drinking from water bottles. These students will invest $50 into these bottles just so they can be part of the club.

My take away from all this is that people will invest into water devices for a variety of reasons and cost really isn’t the issue. In 2000, our family chose to invest into Nikken’s PiMag filtration unit ($680) and have invested into every device since then including 3 or 4 different bottle upgrades. We hope to model water consumption so our girls will understand the value of how important it is. And for the little bit invested, this is a no brainer baby!

Water-A Family Affair

NPR reported this week a pediatric study that has been haunting and empowering me since I heard the news. They took 8000 children, ages 2-18, and surveyed their drinking habits. Of these, 20% do NOT consume any water what so ever. And these same 20% have double the caloric daily intake due to the sugar in the soda, juice, and energy drinks that pass over their lips.

As a teacher of sixth and seventh graders, my wife has a front row seat in this production of insanity. Parents who struggle getting their kids to focus on simple things like reading, writing, and math while bringing them to school every day with a beverage and breakfast from the local coffee shop.

Growing up in the country, our daily intake of beverages was pretty simple. Mom never purchased soda and if we wanted juice it was made from frozen concentrate and we always had to mix it with five cans of water instead of just three so it would last more than a day. So all we were left with was plain ol’ boring water.

Since our bodies are 72% water (same percentage as the earths surface), if we want to see improvements in daily functions, we might want to replenish this simple crucial element. Half our body weight in ounces is the easiest way that I know how to do this. As the weather warms up and we start to ‘glisten’, it’s a good idea to increase this amount. Or on a day like today when the youngest wakes up with a tummy ache, its a great idea to encourage consuming H2O from the Sports bottle because its a little more alkaline than the Waterfall. Offsetting any virus in the body can be accomplished faster by increasing less acidic food and beverages.

Next week I’ll reference another news factoid I heard weeks ago how young people on college and university campuses are spending upwards of $50 on water bottles that are nothing more than a carrying container. No filter, no thermal benefit, just a simple bottle. When we look at the cost of the Nikken sports bottle for less than $50, that excuse of cost isn’t a factor. And then the Waterfall for just over $300 with a monthly maintenance cost of less than $20, the best water on the planet is affordable for the entire family!"

Good Friday and Herb Rapp on Saturday AM Live

Grace and Herb Rapp

Click Here to Listen to This Weeks Call with Herb Rapp

Herb Rapp summarized his San Diego experience in just 45 seconds on the Nikken prayer call this week. I was dumbfounded and asked him for an encore performance to which he gladly agreed. If you’ve never heard this former tennis pro’s story who’s still whipping it up in his 70’s, you’ll want to tune in. And considering he’s been with Nikken almost as long as the three decades we celebrated last weekend, he’s got a few life experiences to talk about.

Good Friday

‘Why is it called Good Friday if he died?’ was the question I was asked this morning as I took a few minutes to read the historical account. My mind was racing with so many ways to answer our youngest daughters question and yet the thing that stuck out in my mind was what has transpired this week in present day. Both her older sisters visited Notre Dame in Paris with us in 2006 so we as a family were shocked to hear the news of the fire.

The short version of my Good Friday explanation to Addi was simply this… The book of Isaiah talks about the concept of beauty for ashes. Out of every tragedy, good will triumph. Or as Cardinal Dolan of New York City said, ‘Just as the cross didn’t have the last word, neither will this fire’.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this holiday is in the Spring when we here in the western part of the globe see new life coming forth in nature. It’s like this with Nikken as well. 91% of us were introduced to this company because of something wrong or not quite at 100%. Through a process of using life-improving products, new life comes forth. It’s hard and even painful at times, but in the end, it’s always better.

Consider the fact that in less than a week after a massive cathedral suffered a major tragedy that nearly one billion dollars has been donated to the restoration process. Human history was altered forever in just three days. Life always comes from death and therefore we can call it good. Have a fantastic Easter celebration!

Only Nikken and San Diego Sensations on Saturday AM Live

Mary, Barb and Mary
Click Here to Listen to This Weeks Call with Barb Satterwhite, Gwen Carter, and Mary Bowser.

San Diego Sensations No, they’re not a trio of amazing artists or a band that is taking Southern California by storm, they’re three amazing ladies who all made the trek from Virginia to the event this weekend and offered to share the highlights with us. Barb Satterwhite, Gwen Carter, and Mary Bowser will give us the best of what they can capsulize in 30 minutes of less. They’ve been to a few conferences before and I cannot think of anyone better to glean the best of a 30 year old celebration. It’ll be fast paced so be ready to take good notes.

I memorized the iCan mantra years ago and it’s part of what fuels my passion for this company today. ‘My iCan Attitude only adds value to my brand. These values must substantiate my companies position as the only total wellness company making me a go-to resource for my target group.’ Sure, other companies have some amazing claims with great products and even greater people and yet they don’t address all the components of wellness. They may have a few wonderful items to help a variety of issues, but if we’re really honest, they cannot claim to be a one-stop shop for wellness. Again, we have to be honest.

So as we embark on the next year, decade, and beyond, we’ve now logged in 30 amazing years here in North America and I think we can truly say…. Only Nikken!
