"Best & Worst

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has ever wished they could take back a few words as soon as they flew out of our mouth. I did this a few days ago and quickly realized that I’d lost these folks by what I said.

Rather than beat myself up, I decided that there must be a simple way to fix this. Sure enough, a few days later I found myself back in this same couples kitchen using one of the simple techniques that I learned from some of the great guru’s in communication.

‘You mentioned that your wife had a leg issue that has you both perplexed and I was wondering if she’d be open to something that changed my life 25 years ago and still is today?’

What could have been disastrous turned into a wonderful connection. Rather than me continue to talk, I let the insoles do the work for me and this new friend was more than blown away by the results. His face lit up and then the questions flowed. How, why, when and on and on.

If you ever feel like you’ve botched an introduction, then re-group and let an energy test talk for you. What I thought was the worst intro ever turned into one of the best."

"Conversations that Convert

To quote a popular line from Dr. Phil, ‘How’s that working out for you?’ Is something that I’ve discovered gets an immediate emotional response. Just yesterday a friend discovered that her blood pressure medication is what caused her to experience gout. Upon this discovery she quit the medication. I then asked how her blood pressure was doing to which she replied, ‘It’s going back up!’.

And thus Nikken enters the conversation.

Getting to the core of the problem is often the best solution rather than putting a band aide on through drugs or surgery. My friend Patti would definitely agree. She’s ordering the Bergie after I shared a story of another friend who experienced wonderful results. What was fun is that I asked if she’d ever heard about Bergamont oranges. To my surprise she had and actually uses this in her tea.

I’ll be sending her the video I found on YouTube about the introduction of Bergisterol later with a text reminder how to take it for the first month.

My point is this…. I am finding it difficult NOT to share 25 years worth of stories about how great Nikken products are. Dennis Williams never did that when he introduced our family in 1992, but he did share a few. By asking questions I truly believe we can create conversations that convert a persons interest into what Nikken has to offer.

Cold Weather Solutions

While we don’t usually celebrate the end of the school week with a trip to the 2nd run cinema, it seemed like a great idea since we had two free tickets, an over-worked mom, blustering weather, and a wonderful movie (Wonder) that we all wanted to see. It was after the movie that I realized once again how great our products are when the environment is not weather friendly. Shivering outside the theater because we just didn’t want to end the conversation with a friend made the cold even worse.

All we wanted to to when we got home was get in front of the wood stove to warm up, but the real joy came when we climbed into bed and completely enveloped our bodies into this cocoon of wonder called the Naturest Sleep System. In a matter of seconds we were warm, toasty, and just completely relaxed. This was a far cry from the feeling just 45 minutes prior.

Customers vs Consultants

‘I think I need to go back to being a customer so I can get a massage like that cause it appears that you’ve done a few of these before.’

My business partner and friend Larry was giggling while he said this as I was giving a roll-out to his friend Dwayne. We had just watched Dr Lindner’s presentation about the importance of sleep and it was pure joy to give this gift to Dwayne. He lost his 39 year old daughter to Sleep Apnea a few months ago so he is very open to how Nikken addresses this topic.

Dwayne started as a customer about a year ago with the investment of a Waterfall and a few nutritional products. Now he’s looking to expanding his wellness home and Nikken is poised to deliver.

Although Larry was joking with his comment, the heart of the matter is very serious. As consultants we can give our customers the absolute best thing that they’re looking for. We simply need to find out what that is and allow them to go shopping on their customer page."

"No more resolutions!

I promise that these were not my words, but those spoken over me by my dentist as he and the hygienist were torturing me yesterday. No, not in my mouth, but torturing my brain. Here they were having a conversation about one of my favorite subjects and I couldn’t get involved. To me, that’s torture!

What I found fascinating is that wellness is front and center on the minds of everyone right now. Jenny, the hygienist shared that she didn’t even bother going to the gym because it’s packed out. 

What I wanted to contribute to the conversation is exactly what Nikken posted on the blog today. Here’s a portion of it:

Extreme weather conditions wreak havoc. Cold, flu, bronchitis and pneumonia lead to misery and even death. What can we do to help maintain good health with all the germs around us?

'Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University conducted an experiment that suggests the more restful sleep we get, the better our chances of fighting off respiratory bugs. The scientists worked with 153 healthy men and women who agreed to be quarantined and injected with cold viruses. Monitored over the next five days, those who slept less than seven hours nightly were nearly three times more likely to contract colds than those who slept eight hours or more. The researchers measured how deeply the people slept in addition to the number of hours, and the people who had better sleep quality were the ones more likely to fight off colds.



David Katz, MD, founder of the Yale University Prevention Research Center and author of Disease-Proof: The Remarkable Truth About What Makes Us Well, explains that “our bodies need seven to eight hours of sleep in order to stimulate an immune response from our ‘natural killer cells,’ which attack viruses. Revolutionist vs. Revolver


Right now, millions of people around the World are making resolutions for the new year that will not only go unfulfilled, but be broken in the first week of 2018. Sort of a negative thought eh? Wanna know a secret that separates those who actually make changes instead of joining the failure group?

Become a Revolver instead of a Revolutionist! Establish simple and attainable goals, write them down, and then develop small tasks to accomplish these. The creative folks at Nikken gave us eight last week and they’re worth sharing again.

Here are some suggestions to help you make 2018 your best Nikken year yet:


* Choose to believe in yourself and trust the company. Trust that you can do it and trust that Nikken is behind you all the way. 


* Plan your day the night before. Make your to-do list and have it prioritized.


* Set aside a time every day to look over and manage your business on your MyNikken Virtual Office. You need to know who your potential stars are and mentor them closely. You also need to encourage the forgetful ones to go on Autoship so they will never run out of product. Remember that there is Retail Autoship as well as Consultant Autoship.


* Incorporate the Everyday Weight Management Pack into your Active Wellness lifestyle. The Pack is not just about being at the right weight. It’s about good nutrition and a digestive tract that works efficiently. You are a walking advertisement, so stay physically and mentally fit.


* Resolve to be a role model and have a 30 to 60 second testimonial ready about how you’ve benefited from Nikken physically, mentally and financially. How can you sell anyone on product or business-building benefits if you don’t practice what you preach?


* Make sure you’re personally retailing at least 500 points monthly. (For example, retail just one Water Pack and you’re there, or an Everyday Weight Management Pack and you’re almost there.)


* Make it a point to follow up with your retail customers.


* Sponsor at least three people who are each committed to retailing 500 points a month. Show them how to earn by sponsoring their own three team members.


* A Wellness Home begins with you and what you put into your body. Build your own Wellness Home with Nikken products from the Nutrition, Water and Sleep categories. Teach your team members and new customers to do the same.
