Nikken Newsmakers and Kimball Sargent and Geoffery Avery-Foy on Saturday AM Live!

Kimball and Geoff in Tokyo
Click Here to Listen to this Weeks Call.

While she’s no stranger to joining us on Saturday morning, I know for a fact that a few days ago, Kimball Sargent and Geoff Avery-Foy were strangers in a foreign land. This small in stature couple were part of the traveling Team Kaizen clan to the land of the rising sun and those that are closer to their height than, let’s just say the Dutch. If you’re like me, hearing a report of just how exciting an all-inclusive trip paid for by Nikken can be, then you don’t wanna miss this chat.

Nikken Newsmakers

Order From Herb or Focus On Growth

I know for a fact that my friend Herb Rapp has used the printed page for years to build his Nikken business. A few years ago Herb wrote a book titled ‘Fit to Win’ and has effectively shared the message of Nikken with dozens of people who are looking for a better way to wellness. Not all of us are gifted enough to write a book and have amazing photo’s of ourselves with celebrities like Clint Eastwood and Merv Griffin, but we can leverage timely articles when sharing about Nikken.

Here’s an example:

https://pamplinmedia.com/go/42-news/398147-292274-fighting-fire-with-fire-

Sure, one could say that this is self-promoting and has nothing to do with Nikken, but I would beg to differ. Last week a reporter from a small newspaper interviewed a few of us from our volunteer fire department for a follow up story about the Eagle Creek fire that forced our family from our home last September. As with any news story, you never know until it’s printed what the angle will be and what quotes will get included or deleted.
Smoke from Eagle Creek Fire

I have used this story throughout the week as a way of reaching out to folks with short notes like, ‘your friend made the news’ or ‘your neighbor is getting attention again and this time it’s not because he slipped on his driveway’. After they read the article and respond favorably, then I make contact via text or phone to ask them if they’d like to know more about how I actually kept the rigorous schedule of a forest firefighter at my age. The response has been fairly positive.

Bottom line is this…. When we find timely articles or stories that support our pursuit of the 5 Pillars of Health, we need to share them with folks. Not all news is negative and even when it is, we can bend it to support the benefits of what Nikken has given us. So even if you’re not a Nikken Newsmaker, we can use the news to share Nikken!

Michael DiMuccio
Click Here to Listen to Vance with Michael DiMuccio. It's AMAZING!

"Live from Japan, it’s the founder of Good Vibrations International, Michael DiMuccio! Well, not really live from Japan, but recently returned from the Orient and definitely one who lives out his company name, he will be sharing some highlights from the birthplace of Nikken. Michael has been an example of the 5 Pillars of Health for a quarter of a century and as a new member of Team Kaizen, he has some key principles to share with us that have been the foundation of his success."

" 'A Fulfilled Life'

‘Do you enjoy this?’ While this question caught me off guard this week from a fourth generation member of our community, I thoroughly enjoyed the

discussion that followed. I shared with him about our family values and why we do what we do everyday. I’m not sure he completely understood the life we live sharing Nikken with others, but at least I planted another seed into some soil that may bring a harvest some day.
Michael and Nikken CEO Mr. Kurt Fulle
The beautiful thing about Nikken is that we’re all on the same team doing our best to share the balanced life that we’re seeking to live out everyday. It won’t ever be perfect by any means, but it sure is fun going in the same direction as others who are seeking a fulfilled life.

Michael and Nikken Founder, Isamu Masuda,
 shortly after Michael joined Nikken.
The Rest of The Story.

I have heard Michael say, when he was new in Nikken, he knew Nikken was going to be big, just not how big. In the back of his mind, he wondered if Nikken was big enough for him to be involved with it.

He told of when he received his answer in a Facebook Post dated February 26, 2014. Michael included a picture which I cropped this photo from. Below is the text that was included.

"This is the moment of truth! It was at this very instant I asked Mr. Isamu Masuda a critical question. Through his response, I saw that he was the 'real deal' and I made a firm commitment to share in his humble vision. He remains the source of inspiration in the heart of Nikken."

It's time we make our firm commitment. Thank you Michael for living this: See It. Believe It. Live It. Share It. Find Joy In It!

Have the Greatest,

Steve

Last Day of School and Angie Boyd on Saturday AM Live!

Angie Boyd
Click Here to Listen to Elaine Mathews interview Angie Boyd. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful Nikken Friends that do such an amazing job filling in for Vance and letting him participate in Family and Society Pillar activities during the Saturday AM Live time frame! Elaine was amazing!

Elaine Matthews is one of our friends who knows the value of education. No, she’s not a teacher, unless you consider educating people how to pay their toll on the Pennsylvania turnpike, but she knows how to help people discover Nikken. One of her friends Angie is learning how wonderful these products are to help her special situation. Or in her own words, ‘At 47, I’m a hot mess.’

IBS, GERDS, Lupus, RA, High Blood Pressure, Raynaud’s, Diverticulitis, Osteoarthritis, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Yeah, I’d say she’s a hot mess!

"Last Day of School

This is the time of year when every student starts celebrating the end of their educational year. Our oldest has been done for three weeks so she’s boarding a plane tonight for Africa. The youngest has a 1/2 day concluding with an ice cream party and then our middle has a few more days. And if that’s not enough, my wife Stacey will be off the clock later today working with two incredible special needs boys.

Does the education ever stop? I should hope not!

I listened to the following teaching by Roger Drummer this week. I heard it the first time 5 years ago when Kenzen Vital Balance was being introduced and yet
The Drink for Champions - Order Yours Today
his message is timeless as I found myself taking notes yet again. Just like the two friends I passed it onto, I encourage you to listen to it in chunks of time rather than trying to bite it all off in one sitting. I get sucked into it within the first few minutes because of how much intel he shares.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbubOlMc9wg

Bottom line is this, we will take the time to learn about anything that we find important to us. What I learned from Roger years ago has helped our family take control of what we eat every day. Creating a wellness home requires we learn what a wellness pantry looks like. And the minute we stop learning, we start missing valuable insight that can help us help others. With school being out, the summer is an ideal time to casually help people understand the value of what we have in Nikken."

Best Day of My Life and Delia Head (major agony) on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to this Weeks Call. Have your tissues ready as Vance interviews Delia Head.

Here is the text I received recently. ‘Let me introduce myself. My name is Delia Head and I’m a brand spanking new consultant. In October of 2012 I was diagnosed with a mysterious spinal cord injury which left me in a continual state of 10+ on the pain scale, 24/7. In addition, I have been diagnosed with Osteopenia. And to top it off, I experience a bout of depression and a host of other health challenges. My dream is to come out of the darkness of this nightmare and into the light of Nikken wellness.’

" 'By far, one of the best days of my life!'

It’s not often we get to hear a comment like this and especially from a new customer. For his sake and the agony he’s been dealing with the last few months, I so wish he was talking about the pain in his feet from a rare condition, but unfortunately it wasn’t. After I sold him a pair of mStrides and introduced him to Nikken, I invited John to help me out with a healthy society project and he immediately said yes. He hasn’t been actively responding as a volunteer firefighter lately because by noon everyday his feet hurt so bad that he can barely walk. Little did both of us know how dramatic this experience was going to be.

So last Friday John and I braved the traffic in Brush 62 (the most versatile off-road rig we have) and got all set for the soon to be wildfire of kids that would soon overtake us. In three waves of the recess bell, 600 kids swarmed us with wide-eyes and questions that wouldn’t quit. We didn’t realize that most of these kids had never been near a fire truck, had the opportunity to spray water, or even be close to someone as they kept asking… ‘So you’re a REAL firefighter?’

Without giving all the details, last Fall a school across town started a coin drive to raise money for the Corbett Fire Department because we were directly involved in fighting the Eagle Creek fire which as of last week has a price tag of almost $40 million. It was the 5th grade leadership group who decided on which group to give the money and they raised over $2000 for our volunteer [fire] department.

After they presented us with yet another huge plastic jug with more coins and bills, I pulled a fast one and presented them with a framed picture of a fireman shaking the hand of Mickey Mouse. I’ve had this in my office for years and since I ‘play Nikken’ in the family room now and don’t have an office, I have been praying for the right person or group of people to give this to. It seemed perfectly fitting to pass it onto a group of kids who didn’t know how much their coin drive would impact a group of folks across town. I hadn’t rehearsed what I would say, but I knew some kind words from the heart needed to be said to the small group of leaders who stayed behind long after the last bell rang.

‘You did your job so we could do ours. While you went to school and collected coins, some of us were fighting a fire that eventually burned 48,000 acres of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. We’re all on the same team and without you, we couldn’t have done what we did. We have been able to purchase some extra equipment with this gift. So, thank you for investing your time into us. I hope this gift from our family somehow conveys our gratitude to you and this school.’

As I watched the last student line up, I couldn’t help but notice both the principal and counselor were still wiping their eyes. One of the dads of two of the kids was there snapping photo’s and he too had sweaty eyes. Was it what I said? No, I think it was a culmination of a bunch of people, over the last nine months, all working together to impact their society. I’m not paid to be a volunteer firefighter. I simply am doing my part, just like these students.

When one of the pillars of our company is Healthy Society, we can continue to make impacts in our community every day by simply doing right things. Most of the time they will go unnoticed, but when you get to experience what I did, trust me when I say, that several hundred people noticed. I don’t think my friend John had ever experienced anything like this before which is why he said what he did as we drove out of the parking lot, ‘I think that was by far, one of the best days of my life and thank you for allowing me to help’.

Unto The Least of These and Dave Johnson on Saturday AM Live

Click here to Listen to Dave and Vance.

Dave and Valerie Johnson could write a book on the diversity of children. After all, they’ve had a front row seat on raising more than most of us. I’ve asked Dave to share some of the success stories of utilizing Nikken’s solutions for raising healthy kids. While we don’t have children’s vitamins, we do have the best products in the world for improving the environment where they spend the bulk of their time growing up.

"Unto The Least of These

Sitting at the airport IHOP just after midnight brought a wave of emotions. Stacey and I were facing our three daughters on the other side of the booth as they laughed, giggled, and even cried at times. We had just picked up Kenna after her first year at American University in Washington DC. These three sisters were now united again, for at least a few weeks before the globe trotter leaves for Tanzania and Uganda. And then upon her return home, Emily will head to Peru.

Besides almost wetting myself with laughter as Addi described in great detail to her two older sisters her first encounter, a few days prior, with a bald eagle, I couldn’t help wonder what we’re doing right to raise three incredible and yet crazy girls. It took us all forever to decide what to eat because we really couldn’t find anything healthy on the menu and that’s when it hit me. Roger Drummer said it best, ‘In order to have healthy children, we must have healthy parents’. We’ve done our best to model healthy living and instruct our girls so naturally they’ve followed suite. Of course no one is perfect and just like their parents, they’ve made poor choices at times and so will we, but it’s a short video like this that keeps us making better choices:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUO7E7KyYKo

If you have not watched the updated version of this, I encourage you to do so. I remember seeing ‘A Wake Up Call’ years ago when we were first introduced to Healthy Child, Healthy World and a few days later being at a Nikken event with Emily who said after viewing it, ‘That’s really good Daddy’.

If we’re gonna take care of the least of these who God entrusted to our care, we must first take care of ourselves. Thank heavens we have products from Nikken that allow us to do that!"

"Nikken in the News

Zig Ziglar taught me to read both the Bible and the top news stories. This way I’ll know what both sides are up to.

Suzanne and Laurie
Before KVB

All kidding aside, this tip has proved to very one of the most valuable lessons from the great teacher that Zig was and will always be to me. In all the different news stories that jumped out at me this week besides a US Embassy opening in Jerusalem, a volcano erupting in Hawaii, and then more about FBI digressions, what really caught my attention was two numbers in the news.

29 and 14

Currently in the country of England, 29% of children are overweight and 14% are obese. I was just as shocked as you are. While I didn’t take the time to investigate what our stats in North America are, I found one article fascinating because it shared how the British government with socialized health care is taking an aggressive stance because they know that being overweight is the #1 cause of heart disease. They either do something about it now or they’ll be paying for it astronomically for decades to come. They’re even in the process of banning all television advertising prior to 9:00pm that includes any processed, sugary, or fast food companies.

Laurie after KVB and Ann
Is this too radical? I don’t think so. Given that we in the U.S. are knocking on the door of 70% of us being overweight, we might wanna consider the fact that we have a serious problem. I have yet to find a traditional diet company like Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, or the endless infomercial ads that focus on what Nikken has done with our KVB. There are a few Network Marketing companies that are attempting, but the ingredients are terrible. Plant based proteins are the absolute best way to start the day and I’m still searching for one that tastes as great as ours, cost less, and provides such awesome results. Don’t worry, I only have to search as far as our kitchen to find what I’m looking for.

While Nikken may not be in the top news stories, the top news stories are in Nikken’s products. We have a solution folks and it’s our job to share it."

A Families Quest for Hope and Some Answers on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to This Weeks Call

According to the Center for Diseases Control’s latest statistics, 1 in 59 children will be impacted with autism. Ebony Combs experienced this when her daughter, Dana, was two years old and it’s been an alarming journey for the last two years. That is until two months ago when she discovered Nikken. [During the call,] She answers several questions about their family’s experience and [shares] some of the simple solutions that Nikken provided to radically change the dynamics of life for them. And while it’s simply their experience and not a medical claim, Nikken brought hope when it seemed like a hopeless situation.

You Never Know When...

I have to admit, after using the Nikken solutions for two decades, I have been privileged to learned a thing or two.
1) Think out of the box. Have a burning desire to figure out unusual ways you can use the Nikken Solutions. You never know when you will encounter a reason to use them.

2) Always have more solutions with you than you personally need. You or someone you know and love may benefit.

5 Hours After Being
Slammed in Van Door
Case in point. After the call Saturday, that afternoon, Carol and I enjoyed an outing with two of our daughters families. We were with several of our grand children as they interacted with many baby farm and exotic animals at a petting zoo. Additionally, I was also able to hold my newest week old grandson for the first time. We had a fun time.

When we were leaving to come home some unplanned excitement struck. As I was climbing into the side door of my daughter's Mercedes Van, someone decided to close the front door. It slammed shut with the fingers of my right hand in the wrong place. Wow, my nap on the way home was suddenly not a possibility!

I was in total shock about what had just happened. Within seconds, a couple of my fingers were showing some really interesting colors. I didn't have my normal arsenal of products with me like when I'm out and about in Carol's car or my truck. Luckily, I usually have a MagFlex, that's slipped inside a Terry Cloth Wash Mitt and tucked into a back pocket or the waist band of my pants. I quickly pulled them out of my jeans and shoved my hand into the mitt with my fingers up against the MagFlex.

Buy Yours today!
I took the picture of my fingers approximately five hours later. They didn't look perfect, but they looked and felt truly amazing for what they had been through such a short time before.

Thank you Nikken for providing us with such amazing solutions. We can easily have them with us every time we need them, no matter where we go.

Moral of the store: Be Prepared. Have a few extras. You will be glad you did!

Have an Awesome Week Everyone,

Steve
