Click Here to Listen to Esther Smith share her secrets!

From an extremely diverse occupational background to that of one of Nikken's top retailers today, Esther Smith definitely has a story that needs to be heard. She discovered Nikken because of a horse and it's taken this admittedly shy high school graduate some time to grow into the person that she is today.

Vance's Tip of the Week

May 26, 2017

I’m sitting on our porch right now enjoying the beautiful Spring weather that has finally arrived with abundant sunshine. Warmer temperatures have a way of cleaning the air and drying out what has been the wettest Spring in recorded history for the Portland, Oregon area.

Roger Drummer taught me years ago that all of Nikken’s solutions will help the body detoxify because all of our products help cleanse the toxins from the body. It’s not just water that flushes out this crud, but all the natural earth technologies working together. And I was reminded this week during a 3-way call that even our minds need to be detoxified by eliminating or guarding against toxic relationships.

It's been said Nikken is the only company with truly a total wellness home. So it becomes much easier to detox all the different areas with this total wellness concept when we have all of the wellness solutions available. I think the toughest decision we have to make when we discover Nikken for the first time or as we discover more of what is available, is where to start? That question can be answered best buy asking ourselves, what needs the most detoxification?

The Little Things and Team Kaizen Member Ruth Loh on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to Ruth and Vance Share a "Silver Bullet"

Ruth Loh is a 2017 Team Kaizen member who lives exactly what Ben shared in this weeks leadership training. She set her sights on winning the trip to Cancun and did what it took to get there. Her journey of success is inspiring and what she did to be part of Team Kaizen is not only amazing, its duplicatable!

Vance's Tip of Week

'There is absolutely no way you were 50 pounds more than you are today!'

It seems like every week I hear this response from someone because the epidemic of extra weight or the battle of the bulge is reaching astronomic numbers. How did I do it or what was my secret to shedding 1/3rd of my body weight today?

It's the little things. Just like Ben Woodward shared in this weeks leadership presentation to achieving our goals, it was those daily things that needed to be done that allowed me to repair some really bad choices.

I would like to suggest that it's the same for all 5 Pillars of Health. Watch what Ben shares in this most excellent video and ask yourself the question, What little thing can I do today to improve each of the 5 Pillars for me? If it's a goal that I want, what am I willing to give up to reach that goal?

Rachel Dayton's KVB Experience and Julie Tara on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to this weeks call the wonderful Julie Tara.

Another fabulous friend in Colorado is the legendary Julie Tara. From a background in professional ballet, Julie has continued to dance her way into Team Kaizen for three straight years. 'I simply want to live the 5 Pillars and there's no better way to do this but by practicing a Kaizen philosophy everyday AND inviting others to join me.'

Julie is one of only a few people who have earned a spot on Team Kaizen every year and is willing to share some of her daily habits for success. Her personal experience with Nikken's products is compelling enough, but to hear some of her secrets makes any conversation with her a real treat.

The KVB Everyday Organic-Based Weight Management program works and boy does it ever work well. This experience from our friend Rachel Dayton is just one of dozens that I've read or heard in the last few weeks. In just one month we have the potential of doing a complete U-Turn with our physical body. And where we go from there is totally up to us.

After one week I'd lost 5 pounds and MY HOT FLASHES WERE GONE!

On April 5, I began a 30 day commitment to Nikken's Everyday Healthy Eating Plan. I wanted to shave off the extra 10 pounds that created that "muffin top" around my middle, and tone up.

I followed the protocol - 2 KVB shakes/day made w/ 8 oz. of organic unsweetened almond milk (sometimes w/berries) 3 detox cleanse, 3 digestion - one before each meal, one Ten4 tea in the afternoon, usually only one Paleo Bar for snacking. I also drink at least 3 quarts of Pimag water/day.

I was conscious of cutting out the bad carbs and sugar, instead eating salads - both at dinner and sometimes added for lunch if I was hungry from skiing all day. My snacks when needed included hard boiled eggs, avocados, apple slices, celery, raw almonds. For dinner I ate a salad, at least one green veggie and fish or meat. Occasionally I had some brown rice or quinoa and maybe twice in the month, roasted potatoes. Honestly, I never felt the need.
I also changed my alcohol habit, having one glass of wine OR one vodka on the rocks. This for me was my "one cheat" but also about half what I normally consume in an evening. I like wine!

I have felt sated and super energized the whole time, and NEEDING FAR LESS SLEEP.

After one week I'd lost 5 pounds and MY HOT FLASHES WERE GONE! Randy Rolfe, certified whiz in nutrition, says my liver, once and for all, rid itself of unneeded hormones and subsequently, the "side effects" of menopause that accompanied them. Even the wine is not bringing them on!

Ecstatic!

After a week, I cut back to two, then one Detox Cleanse and Digestion in the morning before my shake, as it seems all I need.

I do eat a tsp. of Jade Greezymes, daily, and the bone health pack.

Today is Day 29... Here are my stats:
Day 7 - lost 5 lbs
Day 14 - lost 8
Day 21 - lost 11
Day 29 - lost 14

Tomorrow is final, final. I will continue with healthy eating habits formed, go back to one shake per day for breakfast, and continue a one a day of cleanse and digestion. After all, I don't want to 'blow away' as I likely can fit into my cheerleading uniform from High School.

Rachel Dayton - 63 and feeling fabulous!"

Skinny? and Team Kaizen member Tony Collins on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to Tony Collins share the methods he uses to be one of Nikken's Top Retailers.  Vance Emailed:  ‘Sorry I missed your call a few minutes ago. I was helping a Customer place an order’. "These were the exact words that Team Kaizen member and top retailer Tony Collins shared with me when we chatted briefly a few days ago. He’s been helping Customers get connected to Nikken at a record pace lately and it’s evident he knows how to help make this happen. As a matter of fact, a few months ago he helped over 80 people join as Customers in one month!

Wanna know what Tony is doing to facilitate such wonderful growth?"  We know you do, so click the above link.

Vance's Tip of the Week:

Why are you so skinny?
Six years ago I found myself defending the fact that I’d almost reached my high school weight, being forced to buy a size of pants that I hadn’t worn in 25 years, and explain to people that I was in fact healthy. For people that I hadn’t seen since our 20th reunion, they just couldn’t understand active wellness and continued to justify their lack thereof. As they fought the battle of the bulge, it was easier to attack me with a question about my size rather than face the fact that they were losing a war.
My biggest question then and continues today is simply this: If our height hasn’t changed since we were in high school, why should our weight? Oh yes, everyone immediately starts listing all the reasons and justifications for carrying extra weight. I did the same thing for years. Being 40 pounds heavier looked ‘healthy’ is what some people told me. It may have appeared healthy, but it wasn’t.
If every extra pound I carried produced an extra four pounds of pressure on my joints, I was forcing more than my current body weight onto my hips, knees and ankles. And here’s the shocking fact that REALLY got me thinking... Every extra pound of weight is equal to seven miles of blood vessels and veins that my heart is forced to pump blood throughout my body. If I’m doing the math correctly, that is the same distance as traveling across the state of Oregon! I was forcing my heart to push blood almost 300 miles further than it was designed to pump!!! Is it any wonder why heart disease is still the #1 cause of death?

In a new presentation Brody Craney repeatedly asks the question, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if there was a solution to help us with our weight management issues?’ I’ve watched and shared this clip more times this week than I can even remember. For the sake of your future and people you care about, please watch and share this link. We have a solution folks and now I can answer any question without having to defend myself. Brody does a fantastic job and once you see what he assembled into one easy-to-digest presentation, I think you’ll be better equipped to share our wonderful Everyday Organic Based Weight Management program with others.

Ultimate Solution? and Team Kaizen member Herb Rapp on Saturday AM Live!

Herb and Grace Have Been Blessed

Click Here to Listen to Vance and Herb Rapp have a great time sharing Herb's story of success and changing lives.

There are only two members of Team Taizen who have been part of this elite group from the beginning. Herb Rapp will be the first to tell you that it takes a decisive decision to earn a spot in this group three years in a row. And at the same time, once that decision has been made, it is worth every ounce of sweat equity because the end result is all too sweet.

Herb set some record breaking volume amounts years ago and he still doing it today. In a time when most people his age are wandering aimlessly in retirement with no real purpose in life, Herb has a laser focus that is contagious.

 Vance's Tip of the week:
"Ultimate Solution?

'I think I just got you another customer! My wife got into the canister and she immediately said that I need to order more.'

It's not every day that I get this kind of response in less than 48 hours after a customer uses the Vital Balance, but I love it when it happens. What was originally purchased for the son to put on weight is now being used by three of the four family members and they are all loving the benefits.

Weight management are two words that are not very popular in our culture and yet Nikken is willing to raise the bar and set a new standard in this industry. We really do have a solution that is fantastic for everyone who eats. And what our family loves is that it's not age restrictive because organic-based nutrition is after all, real food."

Green Matcha Tea & A Chat w/ Kurt Fulle on Saturday AM Live!

Click Here to Listen to Saturday AM Live!
I'd love to call it a conversation with Nikken's CEO Kurt Fulle, but it was more of a chat on a bus. Yet in that brief encounter, I gained a plethora of knowledge about the man who has been at the helm of our ship for the last several years. From what his leisure pleasures are to some of the business principles he uses to guide his daily decisions, I returned to my seat with a head full of insight that caused me to re-think so much of what I knew about this man.
I'd like to share this 'chat' with you and how I've implemented it into my introductions of Nikken to new Customers since our return home from the Team Kaizen Cancun experience. Understanding the heart behind the head of our captain provides valuable intel that I feel needs to be shared.
Vance's Tip of the Week
4-21-2017
'Better to go one week without food than one day without green matcha tea.' - Chinese Proverb
Usually every week if not more often Mom shares with me a new nutritional tip that she's picked up from one of the many guru's that she follows. I really don't know how she processes all that intel, but she does and it's really sound advice. And in a world that continues to go the route of convenience with a complete lack of nutritional benefit, this kind of knowledge barely offsets the avalanche of quick fixes to our daily diet that don't seem to turn the tide of nutritional ignorance.

They all look so happy...I want some too!

the Hallmark channel yesterday, Miss Universe Olivia Culpo shared the dangers of coffee consumption as far as it being a diuretic, not just for the body, but for the skin. Without missing a beat, she quickly offered an alternative by sharing the benefits of consuming matcha green. It literally hydrates the skin and provides the same alert benefits of coffee. And when I see how beautiful this women is, I'm thinking that she practices what she's preaching!
Is it any wonder why Nikken continues to discover ancient remedies like this and then improve upon them like they have with the Ten4? Sometimes we don't understand how great each and every one of our products are until they receive validation from a celebrity or expert in a particular field. This endorsement reminded me of the value we have in our solutions, not just in the price, but the 2nd to none quality and integrity. It really does make it fun to know that we can go head to head with any comparable product and be just a little bit better than some, and way better than others.

Greetings from Mexico & Team Kaizen member Nadine Staaf on Saturday AM Live!

Mexico was a LOT Warmer than this!
Click Here to Listen to Nadine and Vance giggle and laugh, having way more fun than grownups should be allowed to have.  Just Kidding. We should all have this much fun next year after OUR trip to Japan!

Vance emailed: "Nadine Staaf attended Humans Being More training five years prior to becoming a Consultant. Is it any wonder why she's part of Team Kaizen today? When she finally did join in 2012, she was a full-time college student, mother of a five year old boy, and on anti-depressants & other medications which the doctors told her she'd be on for life.

Her occupational background is filled with a variety of things like graphic design, barista, florist, bank teller, etc. Starting in Nikken brought many changes and Nadine will admit that she had some struggles in the beginning. However, today she's discovered a few things that she keeps as the focus everyday. These key things helped her earn a spot on Team Kaizen AND will get her on the plane to Japan in May of 2018."

"Postcard from Mexico

In the market adjacent to the Mayan temple known as Chichen Itza, I'm looking a postcard to send to you as an encouragement to come check out this place for yourself. Ever since I was a kid, Mom always encouraged me to send postcards to grandparents and a few others back home. The only problem with the recent Team Kaizen trip to the Fairmont Mayakoba in Cancun is that there simply isn't a postcard to send to you that captures this fact:

The best experience during my 25 years as a Nikken Consultant!

Herb Rapp, three time Team Kaizen member, described this as 'the closest thing to heaven on earth'. I completely agree. The all-inclusive resort was beyond amazing and yet it was the people that Stacey and I connected with who are still on the forefront of our minds.

Stacy and Nadine on Jungle Trip
During the next few weeks, my goal is to introduce you to some old and new friends who completely challenged us to live our lives as Humans Being More. People from several nations were represented and although we spoke different languages, the common thread that wove us together is our commitment to not just strive for a spirit of Kaizen, but to honestly seek ways to live it everyday. We don't have to ask the question, but it's always there... What can I do today to improve myself so I can be a better contribution to those around me?
